Skillet with a pan scraper

Scrape a Warm Skillet. Do Not Soak It Overnight.

When dinner is plated, scrape the pan while it is warm. A plastic scraper gets the fond without gouging a nonstick surface. Cold leftover stew glued to the pan is a longer job than the meal was.

Skip the overnight sink

Soaking a wood-handle skillet overnight is how the handle loosens. Wipe, dry, put it back on the rack. If something is stuck, a little water and heat, then scrape again.

Keep the table calm

One skillet. One scraper in the drawer. More kitchen pieces live in the shop catalog.
