Beeswax wraps and dish brushes beat plastic wrap
Plastic wrap that you throw away after one bowl is a tax on leftovers. A set of three beeswax wraps, silicone lids, and a reusable silicone bag cover a plate, a cut onion, and a sandwich. Brushes handle the sink so you are not buying a new sponge every week.
Wraps and lids
Warm a beeswax wrap in your hands and press it over a bowl. Cold water rinse only. No hot soap. Silicone lids (six-piece set) snap on mixed bowl sizes. The bag goes in the freezer; turn it inside out to dry.
Brushes at the sink
A bamboo sisal dish brush, a wooden sisal brush with spare heads, a veggie scrubber, and plastic pan scrapers for cast iron. Hang them. Replace the head, not the handle.
What they are not for
Do not wrap raw meat in beeswax. Do not run the wood brush through the dishwasher. These sit in the Linen & Ladle kitchen aisle with the kiwi eco kit.
